As 2017 marked 70 Years since the partition of 1947, many will highlight what makes our communities different. Independence day celebration can create more divide and hostility amongst the communities affected. At the Grand Trunk Project. inclusive way and developed the campaign, #70YearsOn. I coordinated the Manchester event with a panel of Diverse guest speakers & an exhibition of memoirs of the Partition. This is where the South Asian Heritage Month was conceived.
